Support Dogs UK funds get a boost from Stone antiques valuation day...

Saturday, 19th June saw crowds of antique lovers descend on St John’s Methodist & URC Church in Stone to get an expert opinion on their family heirlooms – all in the name of a very good cause. The event, in aid of the charity Support Dogs UK, saw representatives of Staffordshire auction house Cuttlestones give a enjoyable and fascinating talk on antiques followed by an ‘ antiques roadshow’ style valuation.

The charity is dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with epilepsy, physical disabilities and children with autism by training dogs to act as efficient and safe assistants.

Dogs are trained to assist and support their owners with their specific disability, with each dog taught tasks tailored to his owner's needs, enabling them to lead a fuller and more independent life. The antiques valuation day provided an ideal opportunity to raise awareness about the charity; further information on its amazing work can be found at www.support-dogs.org.uk

The event raised £110, all of which will go to help Support Dogs UK continue providing a life-changing service to people across the UK. If you are raising funds for a worthwhile cause and would like to find out how Cuttlestones can help, please call 01785 714905 or email office@cuttlestones.co.uk
