Test your antiques knowledge at the County Show & win a year’s English Heritage membership!

If you think you know your antiques then a visit to Staffordshire auction house Cuttlestones’ stand at the County Show on 2nd and 3rd June could see you win a year’s English Heritage membership.

To be in with a chance of winning you’ll need to examine a selection of ‘mystery’ antique items before guessing what they were used for. The winner will be the person closest to correctly guessing the identity of all items and they will be awarded a year’s joint membership to English Heritage, worth £77.00. In addition to providing free entry for two named members to over 400 English Heritage sites in the UK, the membership will allow up to six children within the family group to accompany each member free of charge; making this a great prize for families with an interest in history. MD and head auctioneer at Cuttlestones, Ben Gamble, says:

“We’re really looking forward to the County Show and meeting lots of people who are interested in antiques and collectables. We wanted to do something that would help people get involved and allow them to test their knowledge so came up with the ‘mystery antique’ competition idea. An English Heritage membership seemed like the perfect prize for the winner; not only will it help to support English Heritage in the excellent work it carries out to preserve our national treasures, it will also give the winners and their family free access for a year our most fascinating historic sites.”

To be in with your chance of winning this great prize visit Cuttlestones on stand number 261 at the Staffordshire County Show, which takes place on Wednesday 2nd and Thursday 3rd June at the Staffordshire County Show Ground, on the main A518 Stafford to Uttoxeter Road.
